How to Create Good Logo

When designing a logo it is important to make sure that the logo can function in multiple environments. This means that your logo design should still look good when its very small or very large. Sometimes we forget this because we get so caught up in the design process. Now I’m not saying complicated and detailed logos are forbidden, there is just a time and a place for certain types of designs.

Feel free to ask your clients what they plan on doing with the logo so you know ahead of time where the design is going to appear. Its good to get into the habit of stepping back for a moment and testing to see if the logo reproduces well when your shrink or enlarge it. Also be sure to test the logo in different colors and in black and white.

Remember its ok to break the rules, but its better to be able to follow the rules first before you start breaking them. Below is an example of a logo that reproduces well in multiple instances: NBC Logo

Legendary Logo Design

One more logo is released in this early month, it was my new client asked me to refresh their company image. They didn't even have their own logo previously, they just put their owner's picture to identify their company, very very very old style :)

My client's business are specialized in wedding invitation card, they ran their business previously in a local town, but now they get more costumers from another city in the province. Considering to the current condition, they decide to increase their performance to compete.

They wanted neat and modern logo style, i made some choice previously, and after a little adjustment they agreed to pick this logo as theirs.

Pecel Ponorogo tjap Bu Tari

Ini baru lagi neeh, ada kerjaan bikin logo pecel ponorogo tjap bu tari. konsepnya sederhana pengen supaya eye catching alias mencolok :)
Akhirnya di tabrakin aja hijau ama merah trus kuningnya juga di tempel ajah biar tambah "rame". Tetapi biar ga terlalu "ndeso" aku coba beri pemanis warna coklat sebagai lis warna hijau nya, asik kan warna hijau campur coklat bisa langsung nyambung sama warna pecel :)
Sementara warna hitam sendiri dipakai agar logo terlihat lebih "bold" betul tidak :) anyway please comment me .... peace

Event Logo : KONGRES IKA ITS 2007

Sepuluh Nopember Institut of Technology (ITS) is one of the most famous university in Indonesia. Recently, their Graduation Association (IKA) would like to hold an annual program they used to call SUMA/KONGRES IKA ITS, and i was trusted to create the logo.

However i made 2 alternatives but finnaly they choose this one. Nothing special from this logo but i try to accomodate their will to represent unity and brotherhood.

Previously i made tho logo without the "shield" inside. but that is the official logo of ITS itself, some peoople recommended me to use it. Well finnally thats result. Any Comment?
